Thai consumers not aware of sustainable production and consumption: WWF Thailand’s report says

Research “Sustainable Consumption and Production” by WWF Thailand (conducted by CSN Research) did quanlitative and quantitative survey of 240 Bangkok consumers during early February 2018 found limited knowledge and understanding of sustainable consumption and production. Thai Consumers are more concerned with health and food quality (cleanliness and freshness). However, Thai consumers do perceive organic farming as sustinable production and consumption.

Main barriers for the promotion of sustainable consumption and production in Thailand  are:
a) lack of knowledge and recognition of the importance of the issue (92%)
ข) Lack of public relation and products are expensive (88%)
ค) few products available in the market (81%)
ง) government do not take the issue seriously (78%)
