This book is a report prepared for the UNEP-UNCTAD Capacity Building Task Force on Trade, Environment and Development (CBTF). It is aimed at providing guidance to governments in developing countries what are the appropriate policies for promoting organic agriculture in their countries from the early stage of development to the more developed situation. The book draws experiences and lesson learnt from 8 different countries in Africa, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
